The main feature of the WKB0 control and protection
switch is to achieve integrated, internally coordinated
control and protection functions on a single structural
product, which can replace various traditional discrete
components such as circuit breakers (fuses), contactors,
overloads(or overcurrents, phase failures) protective
relays, starters, isolators, and motor comprehensive
protectors. CPS has the function of controlling
operations through both remote automatic control
and local human control. It has coordinated
time-current protection characteristics, has
self-coordination of control and protection, and
continuous operation after short circuit. It has
high breaking capacity and arc flashover. It
has the advantages of small distance, long life,
adjustable protection setting current, easy operation,
and diverse and complete supporting accessory
modules. It can realize the control and protection of
motor loads and power distribution loads.
The emergence of WKB0 control and protection switch
fundamentally solves various problems of unreasonable
control and protection coordination caused by
unreasonable selection of traditional discrete
components (usually circuit breakers or fuses +
contactors + overload relays). In particular,
it overcomes the phenomenon of incoordination
between protection characteristics and control
characteristics when electrical products using
different assessment standards are combined
together, greatly improving the operational reliability
and continuous operation performance of the control
and protection system.
The standards WKB0 control and protection switches
comply with are IEC60947-6-2 (1997) "Low-voltage
switchgear and control equipment - Part 6: Multifunctional
electrical appliances Section 2: Control and protection
switches" (first edition in August 1992) and
GB14048.9-1998 "Low-voltage switchgear and control
equipment - Multifunctional electrical appliances
(equipment) Part 2: Control and protection switches
(equipment)" (equivalent to IEC60947-6-2)
